Boston A city of History and the Here and Now

Hi Lesley, thank you for contacting me about your summer plans to visit Boston. This is a city steeped with history, the birthplace of revolutions and transformation, and still today it among the United States' most forward-thinking and barrier-breaking cities. The academic institutions surrounding the city are a source of innovative art, architecture and ideas that we all benefit from. The students provide a renewable source of energy and vibrancy that permeates the city. Yet for all the fancy buildings and big ideas, Boston is still a city of neighborhoods and local people. In short, it is a fabulous place to explore!

Boston Public Garden

Boston is a compact city, walking and public transit will get you around town. There is so much to see and do in a relatively small geographic area. From the Freedom Trail to Fenway Park, the Museum of Science to the City Aquarium, your family will not be at a loss for sites to see during your week.

Historic Beacon Hill, not to be missed!

A Vibrant Downtown Hotel in Boston, MA

Location, location, location! Immersed in the city’s cultural energy in the heart of the Theater District, this downtown Boston hotel seamlessly intersects commerce with leisure. Relax, work, and play in the beautifully designed guestrooms and suites, or enjoy farm-to-table New England cuisine and seasonal drinks at Avenue One. When it’s time to unwind, their heated, indoor saline pool is open year round.

City View from your room
Two queen beds for your comfort

Your seven night stay from August 10 - 17, including return shared shuttle transfers from the airport, in a double city view room, is $3455.97 CAD. This includes your daughter.

Car rental for August 13 is approximately $75 CAD, not including insurance or gas fill up. The drive to Oakland is under three hours, and there is a savings in keeping the reservation at your hotel for the entirety of your stay. If it is possible to drive up and back in one day (depending on your daughter's performance) that is the most cost effective option.

Air Canada, departing August 10 via Halifax, return on August 17 at 5:10 p.m. via Montreal. Return tickets for three passengers = $1656

Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to book components of this vacation. I am not sure of your daughter's play schedule, thus this may have to be adjusted. I can help arrange city passes and tours as well during next steps.
