Accommodation is the stunning Ratnakara Villa. Ratnakara is an exclusive venue on Sri Lanka’s most Southerly tip near Dondra Head Lighthouse. A hillside paradise nestling in tropical trees above a small sandy bay and offers five large, luxury en-suite bedrooms. The design which mixes colonial features with modern, open-plan living has created a private, secluded property which is the ideal place in which to relax and recharge. With its spectacular infinity pool extending out in to the jungle, tranquil roof garden, large private balconies and extensive terracing, there are so many spaces for you to restore to within this reatreat. Your Tutor: Debbie Thomas (RYT 500) Omkari Yoga, Practising yoga in various traditions for over 20 years, Debbie qualified as a yoga teacher at the International Sivananda Vedanta Yoga Centre in Himalaya, India in 2009 and completed her advanced training in 2012. Debbie's teaching helps clients to find the balance between tranquility and energy. Her aim is to empower participants, challenging them to extend themselves on all levels, allowing a deeper connection to the transformative power of Yoga through pranayama, asana practice and meditation. Her approach draws on the Raja Yoga influence so a mindful practice can be established. Example Day at Ratnakara: - 7am Led Yoga Practice, 9.30 am Rejuvenating Breakfast and a chat around a big bowl of tea or coffee, 12-2 a take it when you like light lunch, 5pm yoga practice or workshop (every second day), 7pm dine under the stars and finally a bedtime meditation.

Off the Mat: The surrounding area invites you to indulge in long walks along the beautiful beech, surf, swim, stand up paddle board or explore village life and ancient Buddhist Temples nearby. The city of Galle is less than an hour away by road. There are many tourist attractions in the south of Sri Lanka within easy access of Villa Ratnakara including the famous Thalaramba Reef and Mirissa Hill cinnamon plantation. Staff will support you to arrange a Safari Trip at Yala National Park, Whale watching trips and much more.

Getting there: Flights arrive into Colombo, Sri Lanka has a good network, with many large international carriers traveling direct. Let us know arrival times so we can arrange transfers to the villa (approximately a 3 hour drive), the cost of this is £80, if we have your arrival information well in advance we can arrange a shared mini bus. There is also a very good train or bus service from Colombo to nearby town Matara, where we can arrange a pick up.

Fees NEW REDUCED RATE OF $1020 until end of September 2017 : all inclusive (accommodation, 3 daily vegetarian meals, 16 + yoga sessions) based on twin or double shared accommodation, single supplements will apply. How to pay - 1) An initial payment of $630 (before30/9/17) or $885 (after 30/9/17) Should be made to Ratnakara via the link below to secure your booking 2) Your final payment of $390 is due within a week of the retreat start date, and should be paid directly to your yoga tutor.
