Impacts on climate change.

SUMMARY: High sea level is the impact that I have chosen and how it effects our ecosystem and people, for started if you have a high sea level then crops would be harder to grow and or even think about finding good enough land to set seeds. If no food is grown then starvation will become a bigger issue than it already is and the health of the people would lower and the cost of the food and health care will increase tremendously.

this is what the map would look like without HEALTH,FOOD,COSTS.

Why is your impact occurring? You should explain the driving mechanisms of Climate Change and how they have caused your impact. The two major causes of global sea-level rise are thermal expansion caused by warming of the oceans (since water expands as it warms) and the loss of land-based ice, such as glaciers and ice sheets, due to increased melting

What is your impact? High sea level

Where is the impact occurring? In the United States, almost 40 percent of the population lives in relatively high-population-density coastal areas, where sea level plays a role in flooding, shoreline erosion, and hazards from storms. Globally, eight of the world's 10 largest cities are near a coast, according to the U.N. Atlas of the Oceans.

Provide specific examples of the impact. Who is it effecting? How are they coping? Which countries are involved? As water gets warmer, it takes up more space. Each drop of water only expands by a little bit, but when you multiply this expansion over the entire depth of the ocean, it all adds up and causes sea level to rise. Sea level is also rising because melting glaciers and ice sheets are adding more water to the oceans. it affects not just people but animals in the antarctic. Mainly the countries involved would be polar countries with mostly glaciers.

Are there any solutions? The simplest solution remains simply to burn fewer fossil fuels. A new study by the Scripps Institution for Oceanography, NCAR, and Climate Central, says curbing emissions of certain pollutants can help prevent the sea level rise.
