Impact Story: Owning a Habitat Home During COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought challenging times for some Habitat Kent homeowners. You may have seen the numbers we shared last month about families who own a Habitat home in Kent County:

  • 1 in 3 families are experiencing unemployment, either temporary or long term
  • 1 in 4 families are worried about keeping up with mortgage payments
  • 1 in 7 families are worried about food security

We think data is important, but the real people behind the numbers are even more important to us. Many current and future Habitat Kent homeowners are front line workers, and many are facing lost income and uncertain futures...
