We are all, literally, born to move.

Despite eyeglasses and iPhones, humans are still animals. We're meant to move with the grace and agility of a tiger (or a monkey). And movement offers us a tremendous number of benefits. As physical therapists and physio therapists, we ask, encourage, motivate and inspire our patients to live active lives to support the care we provide and lead to better health and well-being.

Do you practice what you preach?

It’s no secret: human life has become structured in a way that makes it very easy to avoid movement. We sit in cars on the way to work. Once at work, we sit at our desks for much of the day straining at a computer screen. Once the day ends, we come home and sit down to relax.

Our bodies prefer movement and respond positively to it - it's the language with which we express ourselves physically.

What is 365x20?

In the simplest terms, 365x20 is a movement to inspire physical therapists, physio therapists, and other health professionals world-wide to commit to 20 minutes of healthy movement every day for one year. By walking-the-walk, you become the living example for your patients, peers, profession, community, family and friends.

What is "healthy movement"?

To most people, healthy movement = exercise. As in cardio, crunches, and fitness models. But moving your body is about so much more, like improved thinking, stronger relationships, and expressing your purpose in life.
