The Q team has also added our own news, such as community events, to keep all members up to date. Here are some of our favourites:

National Event live blog

The National Q community Event was held in November 2017 at Aintree Racecourse. Nearly 400 Q members attended the event to connect and explore ways of doing things differently to make positive changes to health and care. Vicky Grimes, live blogged throughout the day and captured the sessions and conversations, creating a record of the day.

Q Lab workshop live blog

In March, the Q Improvement Lab brought together around 25 people for its first workshop to explore the theme 'Empowering people to manage their own health and care needs'.

Q Lab Peer Support workshop live blog

In April the Q Improvement Lab announced that for the next 12 months it would work on the challenge 'What would it take for effective peer support to be available to everyone who wants it to help manage their long term health and well being needs?'. In July a two day workshop brought together people to investigate the existing knowledge on peer support and understand where the biggest opportunities lie for developing and expanding peer support services.

A real sense of community- at the first Q welcome event

The first welcome event for new Q members was held in March, offering a real sense of community to the 120 new members. Q Community Manager Matthew Mezey shared his experience.

Lessons on the importance of a warm welcome

After welcoming 363 new members in November, Georgina Denis, Regional Partnership Manager for Q, shared what she had learnt when welcoming members to the Q community.
