Orley Farm U11 TEN10 Cricket Tournament

This tournament is such an important opportunity for our young cricketers to get a great deal of game experience and I know that all of the teams from St. Martin's, St. John's, Westminster and our home team will have taken so much from today...regardless of results!

Reward for commitment...a great opening wicket

In our first game Westminster proved too strong with both the bat and the ball and we learnt that every run counts. They can come from cheeky singles or they can come from booming boundaries, they all count!

Some golden moments...

At lunch, all 4 teams had won and lost one act, hence, in the final matches every team could have taken home the shield as things were so finely balanced.

Time for essential reflection...

Whilst our larger total against St. Martin's helped, the clincher was amazing commitment in the field. We held some amazing catches and chased down every ball seeing us home against a very strong team.

A truly great catch...that ball was fizzing!

I would like to thank St. Martin's, Westminster Under School and St. John's for joining us today.

However, congratulations to St. John's who scraped home with 2 wins and a run rate of 0.97, with Westminster US in second with a run rate of 0.95...small margins!

final scores
A huge thank you to our grounds staff and catering staff for enabling us to host another wonderful tournament. Thank you to Mr Bloom and Mr Cato for getting 4 teams together to allowing for an enthralling afternoon of cricket, this is what makes summer!
