December at Stanwich Church ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW IS RIGHT HERE

Inspirica Online Wishes Program

Donate Nov. 17 - Dec. 09

For families struggling to make ends meet, the holiday season can be difficult. We partner with Inspirica's Holiday Wishes program to spread the holiday cheer to children in need across Fairfield County. Please join us in making these families' dreams of a joyful holiday season come true!

There will be two trees set up where you can take a card off the tree that shows you instructions on how to purchase a gift for a child.

You can purchase gifts for these children from their Amazon Wish List, and the gifts will be delivered directly to Inspirica. If you purchase a gift outside of Amazon, please do not wrap your gift. Consider donating one toy and one educational gift (such as a book, puzzle, or musical instrument see details below) by Dec. 09.

Service of Remembrance & Hope

Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 7pm

Have you experienced a loss? Whether it is grief from a divorce, losing a job, or the death of a loved one, loss can be particularly challenging at this time of year. Join us as we recall God's gift of hope that can lead to praise, even in a time of sadness. This invitation is extended to your family and friend.

Student Christmas Party

Dec. 3, 7 - 9pm, The Jackson's Home, 20 Dingletown Road Greenwich

It's time for our annual Stanwich Student Christmas Party! Who's ready to celebrate?! There will be festive games, an annual white elephant game (we will provide the gifts, no need to come with one). And, of course, in the spirit of the holidays, we will be eating Chipotle!

Please let Lauren or Craig know if your student plans to attend. Lauren@stanwichchurch.org or Craig@stanwichchurch.org

Waiting: A Women's Advent Morning

Saturday, Dec. 4, 9am - 11am

Advent is a time of expectancy and waiting on God for his coming. Each year we prepare for the birth of the Christ child and also the Second Coming of Christ. Join us as we gather together for our women’s Advent morning retreat. We will enjoy music, testimonies, and space to be with God and one another.

The cost for the morning is $20 p.p. If you need financial assistance for this event, please contact Kimberly@stanwichchurch.org.

Christmas Carol Hymn Sing

Saturday, Dec. 4 at 4pm

Do you love Christmas Carols? Do you enjoy gathering together with others singing classic carols in the living room? Well, we have the perfect event for you.

We invite you to come out to the home of the Dunn's for our Christmas Carol Hymn Sing (97 Clapboard Ridge Rd, Greenwich). We will begin at 4 pm and will "sing to the Lord" (Psalm 95:1) with hymns that are in our church's hymnal, and some of your favorites as well. Bring a friend!

Christmas Eve Services

Dec. 24 at 4pm, 6pm & 8pm

There is no better place to celebrate Christmas than at Stanwich Church. You're invited to join us at one of our three services. We have a beautiful worship planned, with wonderful music, some of your favorite hymns, and a candle-lighting moment to wrap up the service. Together we're going to usher in the story of the birth, Jesus.

New Year's Eve Blessing

Dec. 31 from 3pm - 4pm

As we turn the page from one year to the next, let's rededicate ourselves to God and his good purposes. On New Year's Eve, the Stanwich Church sanctuary will be open for all to come and receive a blessing. Please arrive any time between 3 PM and 4 PM. You may sit in the pews and read the materials we will be providing and/or come forward for a prayer of blessing from church leadership. Bring your family or friends, or come alone. All are welcome.
