Goal:
To raise the number of people of color to attend the universities as well as the establishment of different ethnic studies. Taking inspiration from Caesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers movement, but linking farmworker struggles with movements for justice in cities and schools, the Chicano/a movement developed strong and uncompromising tactics that brought it visibility and important victories.

Action:
Thriving Chicago arts movement went hand in hand with Chicago political activism. Led by mary Lou Gomez 1997-98.
