Redemption Song Bob Marley

The song was released in October 1980 by Bob Marley and other songs popular songs he sings are "Is This Love" "Everything is Gonna Be Alright" "No Women No Cry" "One Love"

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;

None but ourselves can free our minds.

Have no fear for atomic energy,

'Cause none of them can stop the time.

How long shall they kill our prophets,

While we stand aside and look? Ooh!

Some say it's just a part of it:

We've got to fulfill the book.

Bob Marley wanted the song to show what he stands up for which is freedom and redemption. The song was written for the millions of Africans that were robbed of their freedom and sent to the Americans as slaves.He wants people to have strength through God and free them selves from slavery but they can only do it for themselves. He wanted them to have no fear of the atomic bombs because he didn't want their dreams stopped. When people are free he wants them to go out and fulfill their life.
