Better Portraits Proposal for workshops at the bowery

This is a proposal for a workshop (or workshops) focusing on "Better Portraits" using digital photography to be run at the Bowery during Spring / Summer 2017. It would be open to all, including beginners. Everyone, even those with expertise, will learn (and have the chance to practice) principles which will enhance their photography and make them more confident taking portraits.

This is only one of a range of photography workshops that I would be interested in and capable of running, including:

  • Get to know your digital camera: an introduction to photography
  • Walking the streets: an introduction to street photography
  • Learning to love the light: an introduction to (off-camera) flash
  • Learning to love the light: an introduction to (off-camera) flash

PORTRAITS is an obvious choice for a workshop. It is likely to be popular. It can be daunting to take portraits. A few simple rules can make the challenge more manageable and the process more rewarding.

In proposing this workshop I am building on my experience running on-line classes.

In addition, I have run portrait workshops at the Leeds Photocamp for Exposure Leeds and workshops in portraits and in street photography for a range of organisations. The link below is to a (rather busy and cluttered) website built for a previous portrait workshop.
