All About Me! MRS. RASMUSSEN

Special People, Special Memories

FAMILY

I have grew up north of Hampton, Nebraska with my big family! The top photo has my parents Greg & Dawn and the picture to the left are all of my siblings and sister-in-law! There are six total kids in my family and we all have names that start with T :)

EDUCATION

I graduated from Hampton High School with a graduating class of 15 students. I love working in rural, small town schools because of my amazing experiences there! That is one of the many reasons I chose Palmer!

I graduated from Doane University with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Early Childhood in May of 2020. I currently pursuing my Master's in curriculum and instruction with an additional certificate in Social Emotional Learning.

QUICK FACTS ABOUT ME:

I am passionate about Community Service and Servant Leadership. I have pursued many service opportunities -- one of my favorites has been my Alternative Break experience at an animal sanctuary in Wyoming. In preschool, we are going to talk a lot about being kind and loving each other!

I love to travel! In this picture I am parasailing 550 feet in the air above the ocean last summer in Texas with my sister.

Spring is by far my favorite season! I love the smells and I love how green everything is!

This is me with my husband, Jesse. We have known each other since we were three and recently got married in September of 2020. We love to travel to National Parks, go to concerts, watch sports, play yard games (especially cornhole!), and hang out with our friends!

This summer, we went on a road trip to the Badlands, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton National Park!

I am an extrovert. I love building relationships and staying in touch with my friends! I look forward to meeting all of you!

Like any true Nebraskan, my team is the Huskers!

As promised, here are my two dogs - Henry and Louie! Henry is a Keeshond and Louie is a Great Pyrenees/Australian shepherd mix. They love being brothers, going for walks, and eating pup cups from Dairy Queen.

Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire. - William Butler Yeats
