Fifth graders had the option of participating in a Future Schools Project. They created a school for the future; what will LESD look like in 100 years! We had 20 students participate in the "extra curricular project" from creating a blue print, building a model to scale, written reflection and finally delivery of their presentation! They each did an outstanding job! Our students will all be acknowledged for their hard work and outstanding collaborative skills at our next Patriotic Assembly! Congratulations to the Palm Valley Training School for moving on to the district competition!

Just a friendly reminder that students need to wear gym shoes to physical education class each week including to Mrs. Jordan's Friday elective classes in order to fully participate. Below is the weekly PE schedule:

Mondays - Williams, DePaulis, Gooszen, Banks, Carter, Alm, Wilson

Tuesdays - Luckow, Armstrong, Backus, Hampton, Joseph, Fournier, Usher, Prieve

Wednesdays - Bianchi, Keen, Merrbaugh, Reilly, Townes, Whelpley, Ezzell, Mazon

Thursdays - Rea, Richards, Kapla, Koch, Walker, Brown, Salerno, Schneider

Friday - Enright, Sandner, along with rock climbing (K-3) and flag football (4-5) elective classes

Cardio Club is off and running (literally!). As a school we have completed over 850 miles!

Students interested in Cardio Club participate every Tuesday and Thursday morning during recess (7:10-7:30 am). Cardio Club is open to all PVE students and no registration is required! Students just need to meet outside of the cafeteria to get their card. Prizes are awarded when students complete their first mile and then every five miles after that.

Do you have a Future Thunderbird? Does a neighbor have a student ready for Kindergarten? Our Kindergarten Open House is Wednesday, March 1st from 4pm to 6pm! Come join us to visit our campus, receive registration information, visit Kindergarten classrooms and meet a few teachers!

Become a Parent Volunteer!

If you are looking to volunteer but haven't gone through training, PVE is having Volunteer Training Thursday, February 16th at 7:45 AM and Friday, February 24th after 8:00 AM Patriotic Assembly.
