Relating Black Lives Matter To "TKM"

Do you know about the black lives matter movement? The text that will be analyzed, compared, and discussed at the moment will be and or inform you about the black lives matter movement. The three articles that will be discussed are Donald Trump’s view on the black lives matter movement, Emmett Till case and the story on “To Kill A Mockingbird.

The historical event and TKM are very similar, they both take place in a time where blacks and whites, have relationships with blacks, befriend blacks, or even associate with blacks. The quote stated above shows evidence of how it was forbidden for blacks and whites to get along. “After he (Emmett Till) arrived in Mississippi, Till spent a few days helping with the cotton harvest. On August 24 Till went to a grocery store and interacted with a white woman. It is not known if he said anything to her in the store, but he did whistle at her outside of the store. As a result, Till was kidnapped, and murdered by the husband of the white women and his half brother. Emmett Till reflects on the Tom Robinson case in a strong way. They both were killed by white men and were both accused of interacting with a white women when they were not supposed to.

The similarity between TKM and Donald Trump’s opinion on the black lives matter movement are a lot in today’s events. “People generally see what they look for, and hear what they listen for”. Pg. 97 ch. 17. Trump relates to this quote, in TKM in many ways such as his beliefs in the civil rights movement. His assumption to black lives matter is simply a movement against racial profiling and systemic racism, police brutality and racial and inequality. “President Obama will go down as perhaps the worst president in the history of the United States. @RealDonaldTrump. @BarackObama, at least i will go down as a president. The lives matter movement is basically a riot created by African Americans used for attention. The statement that Donald Trump stated shows racism and that he thinks African Americans just want attention. He also claims that Obama will go down as the worst president of history.

TKM is similar to both the current and historical even in many ways. I feel that the historical event has a stronger connection with “To Kill A Mockingbird”. The theme of the black lives matter movement is important. It’s not just African Americans that support this movement but white people and many other races support this movement to stop others for harassing people because of their skin or the way they look.ites were not allowed to get along. “She was white, and tempted a negro. She did something that our society is unspeakable, she kissed a black man. Not an old uncle, but a strong young negro man. Nocode mattered to he before she broke it, but t came crashing down on her afterwards’’. The story took place back in time when whites were not allowed to care for blacks
