Yes, I loved it...

And, we're off. Upgraded to business class, and it's going to be hard to fly any other way...

From the moment I stepped on-board, I was hooked. The feeling is hard to put into words - calming is one. I also knew - from that moment - that this was not to be my last river cruise. Just as I have always been passionate about learning as much as I can about resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean in order to better serve my clients, I now knew that I would be adding familiarizing myself with river cruise lines to that education...

Our lovely home for 8 nights

Touring a castle ruins (with the largest casket of wine I've ever seen - might last us a few days!!), and strolling through the beautiful old city of Heidelberg.

A wonderful gastronomical 8 course experience in Portobello's Italian Restaurant.

Wow... Our own personal classical concert just for Scenic River Cruise passengers in the Mannheim Palace. A tour through the palace to start...

Such a fun morning in Rudesheim, exploring the Siegried's Musikkabinett - a museum of self-playing mechanical instruments; a cable car ride up the 'mountain' over the vineyards; and of course some shopping time... Just a 'little' chilly

Sailing through the 'Romantic Rhine', watching the scenery unfold with its dozens of castles and picturesque little towns. And listening to our individual GPS systems explaining history - priceless... This was the moment I'd been waiting for. So much to learn...

Can't wipe the smile off...

Following the afternoon of sailing, we were treated to some entertainment and refreshments at the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress in Koblenz!! So fun.

In the morning, it was off to Cochem, and a tour of the Reichsburg Castle. Yes, you can get married here!!

Another beautiful little town - photos don't do it justice.
Headed up to Reichsburg Castle
Reichsburg Castle - with it's own chapel. Can you imagine getting married here??
Cologne Cathedral

Edam, Holland. Fell. In. Love...

Volendam - another quaint Dutch village. Much more commercialized.

A wonderful end to the cruise - dinner at the Captain's Table being served by our butlers, a walk through the Red Light District, and some last 'sleeping potions' with some wonderful new friends...
Truer words were never spoken. My new life motto...

After the cruise was officially over, we spent a day touring Amsterdam by canal boat, bus and walking, then went to Bolsward, Friesland (Northern Holland) the next day to visit Irma and her family. What an incredible experience.

A wonderful day with my 'adopted' daughter Irma and her family. I finally got to meet her mom and her kids! Yes, there were lots of tears...
