Ruchs Take On Colorado BY: brynn ruch

During break, my family and I took a trip to Arizona for Thanksgiving. My mom thought it would be fun to take a pitstop in Colorado since we have other family there, and we haven't been to the mountains in a while.

We took a hike on a mountain called Castle Rock. There was an extremely pretty view and the snow, pine trees, and bushes made the area very pleasing to the eyes.

Looking down at the fields and the houses made me remember how beautiful these places can be, even when there is snow on the ground.

To get to this specific place on the mountain, we had to walk on a really muddy trail already concealed in a blanket of snow and ice. Looking at the picture above reminds me of those trails because of the strip of snow that has not yet melted.

My cousins and my sister were really excited to walk up the mountain because they haven’t seen each other in over a year. They were the fastest going up.

Eventually, we made it to Arizona. The sunset in the background provided a really good aesthetic against the sign and I thought it was very pretty.
