Anne Hutchinson Holiday Breakfast View all the images

The Anne Hutchinson Student Council served up smiles, songs and a delicious breakfast when they hosted senior citizens on Dec. 6, for their annual Holiday Breakfast.

Fifth-graders from the Student Council played the part of elves as they waited on tables and delivered much more than a meal. The breakfast provided the seniors with an opportunity to spend time with friends and see the magic of the season through a child's eye. The students learned about giving to others

Mary DelVecchio first attended the breakfast when her granddaughter was a student nearly 30 years ago. She wouldn't miss it!

The orchestra performed under the direction of Suzanne Greene and featured a violin trio and soloist Kotowa Jinushi who is a fourth-grader.

Toes tapped as members of The Hendry School of Dance from Greenvale and Anne Hutchinson danced a reel to Jingle Bells. The Japanese Activity Committee sang familiar tunes, including Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and they demonstrated their musical talents.

Chorus members filled the air with holiday favorites and invited the crowd to see along. Deborah Barto accompanied them on piano. Frosty, Santa Claus and one of his elves stopped by to make the day complete!

Happy Holidays from Anne Hutchinson and The Eastchester School District!
