Staff News

We are sad to wave goodbye to Jo Sketchley this year. Jo has been a Reception Class teacher here for three years and was also our Art Coordinator this year. She will be taking up a new position at Hillbrook Primary School and we wish her well for the future.

We also have to say goodbye to Amanda Rees and Koya Wood who are leaving Year 6 as teaching assistants. We wish them both well.

We were very unlucky, despite having two dates in the diary, not to be able to hold The Key Stage One and Key Stage Two Sports Day this year due to the heavy rain. However the sun did shine on the Early Years Team this year and a great time was had by all.
At the end of June we celebrated our second London History Day. There were some amazing costumes .Year 6 created some incredible artwork to celebrate their London icon David Bowie, whilst Year 2 also drew some amazing pictures to celebrate the day.
Please remember that your child must wear the correct school uniform including PE uniform at all times. Please keep the PE uniform at school all week so that they have the correct clothes for every PE lesson. School shoes must be black, no trainers are allowed. Hair bows, if worn, must be blue or grey. No jewellery is allowed but if your child has pierced ears they must only wear small stud earrings.

New website coming soon!

We are very excited to be able to reveal that our new website is coming very soon. We are working very hard to get it live by the end of July. It will have a new address www.westhill.wandsworth.sch.uk. Until it is live you will see the message on the right when you visit the site.

The current website will still work until the end of the summer holidays . We anticipate switching off www.westhillprimaryschool.org at the beginning of September.

We hope you will like the new website and find it useful and easy to use on a regular basis. It will have links to Twitter,Instagram and You Tube so that all the media platforms we use are accessible from one place.

Don't forget it's Westonbury on Wednesday 17th July! Please come and join in the fun. The weather looks dry and sunny so come and enjoy the atmosphere, browse the stalls, win some prizes (hopefully) and watch some amazing performances!

We have had a number of trips in the last few weeks. Year 3 have been to the British Museum, Year 4 have been to Kingston University and Chelsea Physic Garden and Year 6 have been to Waterstones to choose their leavers' gift of a book.
