Malaysia is a very diverse country because it used to be a very important trading hub. This diversity has really helped make an unique country because it has a unique mix of people and that unique mix has made some delicious food."Malaysia is a country unlike any other: Full of promise and fragility. Its history, cultural and religious diversity make it a rich, compelling and surprising land" (Ramadan).
Malaysia used to be a British commonwealth, which means a country that used to be part of Britain. It also used to be part of Portugal and the Netherlands
Almost all Malays are Sunni Muslims and Islam is the national religion. They also practice Buddhism, Christianity, and Hinduism.
Malaysia's culture is very unique. It has a cool mix of Islam, Hindu, Chinese, and Western culture.
Malaysia's population is made up of 60% native Malays, the Chinese take up about 26%, and the rest are Indians and indingeous.
Malaysia's native language is Malay, but English is widely used and is used in almost all legal instances. The national currency is ringgits which is about three to four dollars.
Because of the huge diversity, the food is very unique. It is spicier than Chinese and has an Indian twist to it.
Durian is a fruit native to Southeast Asia and is known as the king of the fruit. Most native Malaysians enjoy durian, Evan though it smells terrible. Not most westerners enjoy it though, and westerners describe it as a French custard passed through a sewer.
