Three Kings Day in Puerto Rico
In most Latin American countries a special importance is placed upon Three Kings Day which takes place January 6th. Puerto Rico is no exception to this rule and festivities continue here well after Christmas and into Día de los Reyes.
Puerto Ricans celebrate the holiday today festivals, parades, and parties. Children often leave out hay, grass, or straw in a box for the camels of the Three Kings. The Three Kings bring small gifts to children based upon their behavior much like Santa.
