Properties: Francium is extremely rare. Because of this its chemical and physical properties are not known. It has been studied by radio chemical techniques, which show that its most stable state is the ion Fr+. Francium is the least electronegative of all the known elements.
Where is Francium found?: Very small amounts of francium are found in uranium ores.
Uses of Francium: Commercially, there are no uses for francium, due to its rarity and instability. It is used for research purposes only.
