About the event

The Brush, Bottle and Barrel of the Bluegrass is Legal Aid Society's signature event supporting our mission to pursue justice for people in poverty. Each year, the legal community comes together to celebrate civil legal aid, enjoy great food, and one-of-a-kind spirits!

The Brown-Forman Spirit of Justice Award

Legal Aid Society annually recognizes an exceptional community member who has dedicate their life's work to pursuing justice. Past recipients include Ned and Nina Bonnie, R. James Straus, the Honorable Boyce F. Martin, Jr., and last year's recipient, Stephen Reily.

Catered by Chef Chad Welch of Atria Hospitality, the food at the Brush, Bottle and Barrel of the Bluegrass is world-class. Always different and always delicious, the Atria chef's create a range of hor d'oeuvres each year that surprise, and never disappoint.

The Brush, Bottle and Barrel of the Bluegrass is your opportunity to sample some of Kentucky's finest wines, bourbons and beers. Our guests enjoy traditional drinks and new takes on old classics.
