The Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society’s (PTTK) Warsaw Branch of Guides, the oldest and largest organization for tour guides’ training, will organize a Warsaw Guide Training this year.
For the first time ever this course will be taught in English. We decided to open our doors to Warsaw lovers who cannot receive a guide license because they don’t speak Polish.
The training is a great opportunity to fall more deeply in love with the Polish capital and learn more about Polish history and city infrastructure.
During the course participants will study the following:
Course structure:
Lectures:
There is one evening lecture per week. It will take place in central Warsaw (Al. Jerozolimskie 51/16, next to Metro Centrum and the Central Railway Station), usually on Fridays at 17.30 –21.00.
Skills training:
There are skills training sessions and visits on weekends. They will take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 9.30 – 13.30.
Final exam:
There will be a written and oral exam at the end of the course. It will take place on the last weekend of the course. The first day of the exam will consist of a written test and an oral exam. The skills test (exercises in the city and on a bus) will be held on the second day. Once you pass the final exam you will be able to submit PTTK examinations (which is an external exam).
This all take about 200 hours of training.
