Royal Deeside in Aberdeenshire is fast becoming known as a foodie haven and was voted 12th best place to live in Scotland in The Sunday Times.

We’re looking for chefs of all levels to assist our brilliant and energetic Head Chef and his team in the kitchen. We are a modern British Brasserie with the focus on seasonal produce. The job will include the opportunity to develop and have an input into menu composition.

This is no ordinary job.

In 2018 our Restaurant was shortlisted as finalists for Window with a view - a competition seeking to find the UK's best view from a window - and if you came to The Lodge, you would see why. Set in the most idyllic location, on the banks of the River Dee, we’re an eclectic, fun and luxury boutique hotel in a country setting. We love pushing the boundaries and our food is famed far and wide.

We are regularly serving over 1000 diners a week using the very best of local produce which complements the seasons.

Banchory is the ideal place for outdoor pursuits and city life. Known as the Gateway to Royal Deeside, on your time away from the hotel there are oodles of cycle trails, walks, breweries, distilleries and castles in the surrounding area. We’re also not far from one of Scotland’s national parks - The Cairngorms and there are brilliant transport links into Aberdeen, approximately 13 miles away.

This role will be to support the Head Chef, be involved with training and directing a young team and overseeing the day-to-day operation under our Head Chef’s guidance. We can provide live-in accommodation if necessary.
