Daily Tasks

Teachers must...

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons to students
  • Assign and grade work
  • Provide guidance to students to help them complete their task and prepare them for their educational and personal future
  • Communicate, co-operate, and consult with other members of the school
  • Speak with and inform parents of the students to ensure their educational success
  • Participate in staff, group or other meetings related to the school curriculum or care agreements, for the better organization and administration of the school
  • Participate in school assemblies
  • Register and monitor the attendance of students under care
  • Collaborate with parents of the students to ensure a productive work environment

Work Schelule

Teachers typically work from 7:30 in the morning to about 4 in the afternoon, depending on what responsibilities you have each day.

The majority of the day is spent teaching lessons to students, but extra time must also be incorporated to plan lessons and grade papers.

The yearly salary for teachers in Arkansas is typically from $35,000 to $50,000
