My Ceramics Work Lucy Combs

This was the first project I created in ceramics. It was a 3 pice continuous tile project. I decided to do the Great Japanese Wave using subtractive and additive elements
This is my slab box, I created this design by using subtractive elements carving into the clay creating geometric shapes.
My wheel thrown objects are my favorite pieces I love how they all turned out and how I can actually use them! I glazed them all different and used many different techniques to make them each unique
Here is my teapot. I came up with this idea because I first off love elephants and I thought it you be a great opportunity to draw designs on the ears, body, and trunk. I love the way the pattern on the ears turned out and my teapot actually works.
This is my troump'loi I did a tissue box because I'm always needing tissues. I created this by making a box first then cutting a hole in the top to put an excess piece of clay in it to create the tissue.
