Basic Archery Instructor Training Duval County PUblic Schools Physical Education Teachers

On January 27, 2017 seventeen DCPS Physical Educators from across the district and one School Board Member gathered at Alimacani Elementary to become Certified Basic Archery Instructors. Teachers from elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools across the district came together to learn a new skill and a new curriculum topic to take back to their schools. All teachers in attendance are now Certified Basic Archery Instructors and able to teach their students another life-long physical activity!

DCPS School Board Member Scott Shine has a keen interest in archery. With his support and the support of Superintendent Dr. Vitti, DCPS has been able to purchase 2 full sets of archery equipment that will travel from school to school.

Trained Teachers

Currently we have 11 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 3 high schools, and 1 K-8 school with Certified Basic Archery Instructors on site and able to teach archery lessons.
