Europeans affected life of the Native Americans by changing the economy, the religion, and making the natives give up there ways. The Europeans changed the economy to an agricultural economy. An agriculture economy is when people grow extra things to trade for other things. The Europeans changed the natives religion by teaching them how to make and do new things. The Europeans made the natives give up there ways after they thought them how farm and other helpful skills.

On the social studies book “Our California”on section “Learning How To Farm” on page 55, paragraph 1 states, “The arrival of the Spanish changed the economy to an agricultural economy of the California Indians from a hunter-gatherer economy to an agriculture economy.” From the website, “How Europeans Changed the Economy”states, “A consumer behavior model, using company accounts, shows that Indians bought more Europeans in response fur trade.”The arrival of the Spanish changed the economy because they are making extra food. The natives were confused why they are making and buying extra food. This is how the Europeans made the economy to an agricultural economy.

On the social studies book “Our California”on section “Problem at the Missions” on page 43, paragraph 1, states, “There these California Indians learned how to farm and make new things like baskets, and necklaces.” The text states on the website “Europeans Taking the Native religion”, states “The Europeans explorations affected life in the americans by disrupting and killing the traditional way of life and making the native learned catholicism.” The Natives had never made new accessories before. That is how the Europeans changed the natives religion.

The Native Americans were not let free. On the social studies book “Our California” on section“Problem at the Missions”, on page 43, paragraph 1 states, “However, once they came to the missions some California Indians were not free to leave.” The text states on the slavery of the people states, “This paradigm-a basic one in the history of colonialism-omits a crucial aspect of the story: the indigenous peoples of the Americans were enslaved in large groups.” The natives were not free to leave after they learned new skills. The new skills were helpful for the natives. The natives were used so they were not let free!
