Day 1) Anchorage, AK
Welcome to Anchorage! Enjoy your first night in the famous Captain Cook hotel where celebrities and movie stars stay when visiting Anchorage.
Wander out to see the shops, restaurants and cultural attractions of this surprisingly metropolitan city. This city is very walkable with great restaurants, bars, open spaces and bike trails.
Day 2) Transfer/Overnight at Mt. McKinley Lodge
Board a motorcoach for your scenic journey to the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge for a stunning view of Mt. Denali along the way. Your afternoon is at leisure for optional excursions or just enjoy the grounds of this lovely lodge.
Day 3) Transfer and overnight at Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge
After breakfast, enjoy a morning excursion before being transferred to the Denali Wilderness Lodge set above the Nenana River Canyon. Enjoy a hosted dinner tonight at Fannie Q's Saloon, named after a famed local homesteader.
Day 4) Husky Homestead & Denali National Park Tours
Enjoy a full day of amazing tours and adventures! Visit the Husky homestead home of a former Iditarod dog race champion and see the pioneer spirit of Alaska Homesteaders followed by the amazing and immersive Tundra Wilderness tour taking you deep inside of Denali National Park to see wildlife in their natural habitat with no fences.
Day 5) Denali to Whittier Cruise Port by Alaskan Railway
"All Aboard", ease into the wonder of Alaska aboard the exclusive Direct-to-the-Wilderness rail service. Travel through vivid landscapes and the heartland of Alaska you wouldn't otherwise see with expert guides along the way.
Day 6) Cruising / Hubbard Glacier
All glaciers are "cool" but the Hubbard Glacier is just massive and a breathtaking sight and "natural beauty" you'll never forget. At 76 miles long, 6 miles wide and up to 1200 ft deep it is the largest tidewater glacier in North America and slowly moving into the sea.
Day 7) Glacier Bay Preserve (all day cruising)
Glacier Bay National Park is a 3.3 million acre UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the top sights to see in Alaska. It is only accessible by water or air and your cruise ship is one of the few that has "exclusive and licensed" access to this sanctuary where glaciers, mountains and wildlife meet. National Park Rangers will be onboard all day narrating all the wonderful sights you'll see including hosting a Jr. ranger program for the children.
Day 12) Arrive Vancouver, BC
You'll enjoy this vibrant cosmopolitan city with one of the best natural harbors in world surrounded by mountains. Pro tip: Arise early with coffee on your balcony as the passage through fjords into this city is stunning. Spend a day or two to enjoy the wonderful shopping, dinning and cultural attractions and even consider taking the train ride down to Seattle.
