Your club can choose to participate in one or both projects.
More info will be coming out shortly about Wreaths Across America and how you, your club and your families can get involved.
In the meantime, save the date: Saturday, December 16th
Meals on Wheels
Our first service project of the day was making place mats for Meals on Wheels of Maryland
No-Sew Blankets
Our second project was making no-sew fleece blankets to be donated to INOVA Children's Hospital in Virginia.
A special thanks to the (former) Anne Arundel Ladies Civitan Club for generously donating the fleece to us.
Spirit Challenge
No Chesapeake District event is complete without a friendly competition.
Governor Anushe and Lt. Governor Bailey hosted Junior Civitan Trivia throughout the day. The team who answered correctly won possession of Chessie until the next question.
These were a couple of their questions:
Do you know how many Junior Civitan Clubs and how many Districts there are in Junior Civitan?
OR
Do you know how many former US Presidents were Junior Civitans? (hint, there were 5 of them)
Thank you to our District Board for planning a successful and meaningful District Meeting
