WICKLUND FINISHES SEASON ON PODIUM in high jump

Coming into the meet Freshman Emily Wicklund was ranked #1 with a school record jump of 5'05 from the sectional meet.

She was the only freshman to qualify for Division 2 high jump and had nothing to loose.

She jumped 5'02 to seal up 6th place and a spot on the podium scoring 3 points for the Mosinee team. This was the first time Mosinee scored points at the state meet since 2013 and the first time in the high in over 20 years.

Congratulations Emily on a great season!

Cassidy Zuleger ran 13.04 taking 2nd in the conference on May 15th. Her next two weeks were quite a ride. She was the 4 seed at regionals and advanced to sectionals with a 4th place time of 13.36. She was seeded 10th at sectionals and ran a 4th place time of 13.19 qualifying for state.

When Cassidy found out she was the 16 seed at state you can predict her mind set going into it. She had a great start out of lane 1 and never looked back.

Cassidy ran a personal best 12.73 which puts her #5 in her heat, #5 in Mosinee history....

and into the finals!

This is Cassidy's first year out for track. She finished day 2 10th place in the state of Wisconsin for Division 2!

girls 4x100 runs 51.65; takes 15th

The 4x100 team of Jayde Sitko, Cassidy Zuleger, Natalee VanBrocklin, and Lilly Haimerl progressed their time from 52.68, 52.56, 51.64 from conference to sectionals qualifying in the event.

At state they made the decision to push the zones a bit to give them a shot at PRing and qualifying for finals.

The adjustment did not quite pay off like expected but the team still finished with a 51.65 (only .01 off their season best) and they did it at the State Meet.

Congratulations on a great run girls!
