CARDINAL STADIUM SAFETY ENHANCEMENTS

Before you get to Cardinal Stadium and settle into your seats to enjoy another season of Louisville Football, you will notice a number of changes in the game day experience.

  • In order to promote physical distancing, no tailgating is permitted prior to or after football games this season.
  • All Cardinal Stadium parking lots will open three (3) hours prior to kickoff.
  • Masks will be required to be worn at all times. Children aged 5 yrs and under are not required to wear a mask.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Months ago, we began to take many steps to drastically reduce expenses and mitigate potential deficits. We implemented salary reductions across the department, starting with our head coaches and senior leadership. We made the very difficult decision to eliminate 53 positions, and since May, 43 employees have been on furlough. We have drastically reduced operating budgets and postponed forthcoming facility improvements. While other schools have had to announce the elimination of sports, we have worked tirelessly to try and preserve all student-athlete scholarships and all 23 sports.

WE RISE AS ONE

As we navigate the most unprecedented financial challenges to date, we sincerely thank you for your support of our student-athletes.
