Mercury God of messages

Symbols that represent Mercury are Caduceus and Talaria.

Caduceus
Talaria

Mercury was the son of Jupiter, the king of the gods. His mother was Maia, a minor goddess.

The Romans considered him as crafty and deceptive. They even saw him as a trickster or thief.

Mercury delivered his messages with great speed because he wore his winged sandals called Talaria

As a result of resembling the Greek god, Hermes, he eventually took on myths of Hermes.
