The mission of the Jordan Public Schools is to Inspire a Caring Community to Ignite Learning, Innovation, and Success for All. Our single campus is home to approximately 1,900 students. Our high school was built in 2003, and our award-winning middle school was completely renovated in 2015. Located adjacent to this building is the new 45,000 square foot Jordan Community Ed and Rec Center (CERC). Our elementary school, a 2017 MN School of Excellence Award winner, was built in 1975 and has a 2003 addition to include an Early Learning Center.

Our students consistently score academically at the top of the Minnesota River Conference. We have a successful 1:1 technology program and a new Summit Academy for grades 11 and 12 where students take cross-curricular and real-world professional studies courses.

Our athletic and fine arts programs and facilities are among some of the best for districts our size. The district’s athletic complex has been completely remodeled, including the addition of a synthetic Field Turf playing surface. This new facility, along with several new ball fields, ample green space, and state-of-the-art indoor facilities, are home to our thriving athletic and fine arts programs.

At Jordan Elementary School we value standards-based instruction and creating a safe and fun learning and working environment. JES focuses on the academic and social-emotional development of students by incorporating a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) model where safety, respect and responsibility are integrated into all areas of the school.

Mindfulness is practiced in each classroom and is communicated with families in order to support everyone in our school community.

We incorporate a rigorous curriculum aligned with state standards to meet individual needs. Academic programming consists of our enrichment program, MTSS Reading and Math, MN Reading Corps, and after school programs.

Technology is integrated daily into the curriculum, where Smart Boards, iPads, Chromebooks, and the Internet are used to engage students and provide them with a 21st Century learning experience.

Our elementary school, recipient of multiple Minnesota Department of Education distinctions and the Minnesota School of Excellence Award in 2017, was built in 1975 and has a 2003 addition to include an Early Learning Center which is home to our Parent Aware Four Star rated preschool.

The goal of Jordan Middle School is to serve as a transition from the elementary to the high school. Middle school education provides a solid standards-based interdisciplinary core with diverse exploratory and elective options with the goal of preparing students for Jordan High School and beyond.

The middle school has a full staff of specialists to assist the needs of our students. Each day, an advisor-advisee program is used to build relationships in a small group environment while participating in positive behavior activities.

JMS offers honors courses, exploratory classes for grades 5-8, and electives for grades 7-8 (Ceramics, Robotics, Spanish, Woods, Forensics, Fitness and Recreation, and more).

Students may also elect to participate in a variety of clubs and co-curricular activities as well as after-school academic support.

The design of our award-winning middle school, completely renovated in 2015, supports 21st Century learning and 1:1 technology with flexible classrooms, innovative science labs, and welcoming commons spaces.

Students at Jordan High School are encouraged to follow the expectations of PRIDE: Preparedness, Respect, Integrity, Dependability, and Excellence.
