Paul Jackson Pollock born January 28 1912- August 11, 1956.

Borin in Cody, Wyoming.

In 2006, Pollock’s “No. 5, 1948” became the world’s most expensive painting, when it was sold for $140 million.

-- He was the subject of the Oscar-winning film “Pollock” directed by and starring Ed Harris.

-- An alcoholic, he died at the age of 44 in a drunk-driving car accident.
