Why The Oberhelman's Give Back:

"We Love our SUU Family and want the students to be successful in and out of the classroom."

Campus Interactions: While living in California, both Jenn and David came to visit Cedar City often. They were always at the homecoming football game and Shakespeare festivities.

Fun Fact: Dave didn't select to attend Southern Utah University. After having everything lined up to a attend a college in Southern California, his parents, without his knowledge applied and lined up everything to attend SUU.

Now, Dave is a proud alum of Southern Utah University! His experiences and education at SUU allowed him to work in law enforcement in southern California. He retired as the head of Adult Probation for San Bernardino County.

Campus Involvement: Jenn worked for Southern Utah University for 10+ years. The majority of her time was spent working in the President's office assisting President Scott Wyatt and Vice President, Marvin Dodge.

Jenn said she enjoyed working on campus because there was always something happening. Jen later added, "I loved the people I worked with and there was always an opportunity to be involved."

Additionally, she loved the creativity that was encouraged on campus. "Both Scott and Marvin empower their employees and promoted thinking outside of the box."

"The Oberhelman's are LOYAL Thunderbirds. They understand the mission and culture we are building at Southern Utan University. We need more T-Birds, like David and Jenn! I truly appreciate them." -President Scott Wyatt

The Oberhelman's still stay involved through Southern Utah Athletics and other campus events. Jenn was a staple of the SUU administration and will always hold a special place in her heart for this campus + community.

"The biggest hearts in this community is Dave and Jenn. I have known Dave and Jen for years even before they moved to Cedar City and consider them as my dear friends. They've had multiple teams, organizations, staff and faculty over to their home." -Annette Murray, SUU Director of Development & Annual Fund
