Bulldog Strength & Conditioning Center Bryant university | smithfield, r.i.

Bryant University's 10,000-square-foot Bulldog Strength & Conditioning Center opened August 1, 2015 to serve more than 550 student-athletes across 22 Division I sports. This new facility allows Bulldogs to train with better equipment in less time, resulting in stronger, faster athletes, significantly fewer injuries and better on-field performances.

The glass-enclosed structure sits just beyond the end zone of Bulldog Stadium and features a field-level outdoor viewing terrace.
The facility features 24 weight platforms, allowing the Strength & Conditioning staff to move teams through workouts as a unit.

Inside the Bulldog Strength & Conditioning Center sits 55 yards of turf, utilized by teams and individuals to improve strength, quickness and explosion.

The facility also houses cardio stations, as well as plate-loaded and cable machines for a variety of training options.
Also inside the Strength & Conditioning Center is a conference room, nutrition center, locker area and staff offices.


Bryant University’s Strength and Conditioning Program strives to improve athletes’ strength, speed, power, mobility and conditioning while reducing injury. We provide an environment that pushes athletes to work hard in a biomechanically sound manner and be accountable to themselves and their sport.

Multi-joint ground-based movements, as well as a variety of additional techniques, are used to improve the overall athleticism of our athletes. These movements increase an athlete’s ability to produce force. A systematic progressive approach and sound techniques are used to develop individualized training for the various sports and athletes at Bryant University.

Student-athletes are encouraged to concentrate on all aspects of well-rounded training. This includes physical training, mental training, nutrition and regeneration.

Expectations of a student-athlete


  • Only train when a Certified Strength Coach is present
  • Perform reps in a biomechanically sound way
  • Utilize spotters when necessary


  • Be on time
  • Train with a partner
  • Wear team-issued gear
  • Treat yourself and others with respect
  • Be consistent


  • Challenge yourself to improve with weight and technique
  • Get the most out of every day and every rep performed
