Olde Towne Daphne Attracts Crowds with 3rd Thursday Event
DAPHNE, Ala. (December 5, 2016) - There’s a lot of buzz around Olde Towne Daphne this holiday shopping season as more and more shoppers are visiting our local merchants downtown.
Several of the retailers have also started a monthly event every third Thursday, staying open a little late to welcome customers with refreshments and great deals. Those stores consist of B Darlin Boutique, Market on Main, Objects and Buckle My Shoe.
“It kinda started in May of 2016. I had just opened B Darlin and the owner of Market on Main had ladies night planned on Thursday May 5th. She asked if I would like to participate. Since I LOVE a good party and any chance to decorate and cook, I said yes,” said Brandy Lister, owner of B Darlin.
She said it was such a big success they decided to continue with a themed monthly shopping night. “I have to give that credit to Belle the owner of Market on Main. Honestly, it has been a blessing. We are always packed and everyone seems to have a wonderful time,” said Lister.
She said they’re also seeing shoppers keep the evening going at the new wine bar LeBeuchon or Manci’s.
The downtown merchants hope this event will continue to grow. “I have BIG dreams for this night. I would love it to get so big and start at Southern Napa and take a trolley ride down Main,” said Lister.
As of now, shoppers can expect a fun night out with family and friends! You can shop for home goods, gift items, clothing, jewelry, kids toys and shoes, and much more.
If you haven’t visited Olde Towne Daphne recently, we strongly encourage you to stop in. Along with the great retail shops, you can grab a delicious treat from Something Sweet Bakery, visit some fabulous restaurants and wine bars and even get a haircut at a local salon.
