Nile River - The longest river in the world south of the equator, eventually flowing through Egypt and draining into the Mediterranean sea.

Seasons - The four divisions of the year, spring summer, winter, fall, marked by different weather.

ALL THE SEASONS

Earths's Tilt - Earth's axis is tilted because of the seasons.

TILT OF THE EARTH

June - It's summer in the northern hemisphere and winter in the southern hemisphere.

December - It is summer in the southern hemisphere and winter in the northern hemisphere.

March and September - Neither end of earth's axis is tilted toward the sun. Both receive the same amount of energy.

THE SEASONS OF EARTH

Moon Motion - The moon is in motion when it is circling the earth and when earth tilts on it's axis, so does the moon.

Phases - The different shapes the moon makes. There are 8 phases of the moon.

Solar Eclipses - When the sun is blocked to the earth, this happens when the moon is between the sun and the earth.

Lunar Eclipses - When the sun is blocked to the moon, this happens when earth is directly between the sun and moon.

High Tides - When the tide of an ocean is at it's highest level.

Spring Tide - A tide with the most difference between low and high tides.

SPRING TIDES

Neap Tides - A tide with the least difference between low and high tides.
