Firework

Katy Perry

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag

Drifting through the wind

Wanting to start again

Do you ever feel so paper thin

Like a house of cards

One blow from caving in

Do you ever feel already buried deep

Six feet under screams

But no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that there's still a chance for you

'Cause there's a spark in you

You just gotta ignite the light

And let it shine

Just own the night

Like the fourth of July

'Cause baby you're a firework

Come and show 'em what you're worth

Make 'em go "oh, oh, oh!"

As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework

Come and let your colors burst

Make 'em go "oh, oh, oh!"

You're gonna leave 'em falling down down down

You don't have to feel like a waste of space

You're original, cannot be replaced

she uses this song because its about how you don't need to let people bring you done or let people bully you like the lyrics ” Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind wanting to start again?” this is a simile because it is comparing a person to a plastic bag as some think of it. So I think she uses them to make people, when they listen to the song, make them feel good about themselves, but before that she trys to make people connect to the song. she also uses "do you feel already buried deep six feet under screams but no one seems to here a thing." this mean your trying to get help but no ones listening or they dont care. there is also and otomonapia "oh oh oh".

The Top Six Lyrics by Earl Sweatshirt of Odd Future. Posted By Daniel Hill on Fri, Sep 14, 2012 at 6:02 AM. Earl Sweatshirt - Performing with Odd Future tonight.

Then you can wear my sweatshirt

And you can tell your friends we'll be together till the end

Girl you can wear my sweatshirt

Cause you're the only one I hold and I don't want you to be cold

So baby wear my...

When you go to sleep at night, when you wake up in the morning

And when you walk the halls see girl you know you wanna flaunt it you can see the girl when she is walking down the hallway

Said this may be the start of something new

Girl I'm gonna tell you exactly what I wanna do is more than just this

So baby if you are not ready for my kiss

Then you can wear my sweatshirt

And you can tell your friends we'll be together till the end

Girl you can wear my sweatshirt

Cause you're the only one I hold and I don't want you to be cold

So baby wear my and you can wear my sweatshirt

And I don't want you to be cold

the sweatshirt symbolizes the warmth of his soul and if she ever feels alone (cold) he will be there to put the sweatshirt (caring soul). and when he says you can tell your friends we will be together till the end he wouldnt say that if he didnt mean something more than just a sweatshirt.

You gotta go and get angry at all of my honesty

You know I try but I don't do too well with apologies

I hope I don't run out of time, could someone call a referee?

Cause I just need one more shot at forgiveness

I know you know that I made those mistakes maybe once or twice

By once or twice I mean maybe a couple a hundred times

So let me, oh let me redeem, oh redeem, oh myself tonight

Cause I just need one more shot at second chances

Yeah, is it too late now to say sorry?

Cause I'm missing more than just your body

Is it too late now to say sorry?

Yeah I know that I let you down

Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?

I'm sorry, yeah

Sorry, yeah

Sorry

Yeah I know that I let you down

Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?

I'll take every single piece of the blame if you want me to

But you know that there is no innocent one in this game for two

I'll go, I'll go and then you go, you go out and spill the truth

Can we both say the words and forget this?

Is it too late now to say sorry?

Cause I'm missing more than just your body

Is it too late now to say sorry?

Yeah I know that I let you down

Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?

I'm not just trying to get you back on me

Cause I'm missing more than just your body

Is it too late now to say sorry?

Yeah I know that I let you down

Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?

I'm sorry, yeah

Sorry, oh

Sorry

Yeah I know that I let you down

Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?

I'm sorry, yeah

Sorry, oh

Sorry

Yeah I know that I let you down

Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?

in this song the song writter uses two figurative language statements. the first one is a metaphor he says "i hope I dont run out of time, could someone call a referee." He doesn't need an actual referee he just needs someone to call the fouls or what he is doing wrong in the relationship (foul). the other figurative language is an hyperbole. He says "by once or twice i mean maybe a couple hundred times." he doesnt actually mean he has messed up about 200 to 400 times he just means its been alot of times.

my Poem

there once was a cat named jace

he always had a smile on his face

he was so fat he ate my whole house at a fast pace.

he got so big he looked like a pig

so we put him in our back yard

two weeks later i looked outside and even the pen he was in had a grin

but at that very moment he broke out of the cage and we never saw jace again
