Reaching and Teaching ALL Learners During a Global Pandemic: It Takes a Village Saturday Oct. 3, 2020 - Time: 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Webster University's School of Education, Department of Teacher Education is celebrating 25 years of offering the Special Education Program for Students with Severe Developmental Disabilities and Autism to our community. We are celebrating by offering a free virtual Special Education conference on how we reach, teach and support ALL of our learners during this global pandemic. It take all of us and we want to engage in conversations and presentations on what lessons we have learned and what we still need to learn to help support our students. We want all of us to stay connected while also informing our practice.

Welcome to our virtual conference website. The conference committee hopes that you are ready for a half day of learning and sharing best practices for teaching during the global pandemic. This conference page will continue to be updated as we get closer to the conference and even after the conference so please bookmark the page.

Our opening session is from 9:00-9:15 on Saturday. Dr. Grace Francis is our Keynote Speaker. She will present "Expectations: Building the Village." This keynote will review why expectations are the foundation for supporting learners to achieve optimal outcomes.

We will have a session called "Birds of a Feather" for job alike groups to have open conversation about what is working and what we need to support our learners during this time.

For presenters we have created a slide deck template that you may COPY and use for your slides. Please remember to make a copy before putting any information on the template.

Included below is all the information that you need for the day of the conference to easily participate in the Zoom sessions. We have included the zoom room addresses for all events as well as basic etiquette for using Zoom.
