My 50th Gift of Life 14 March 2017

I would first like to thank God Almighty for the gift of life, health and the love that warms my every morning.

Fifty, the milestone that takes you out of the 'invincible' mindset into the 'maybe not quite invincible' state. Despite knowing fifty was coming, it still felt like it climbed through the back window, like a thief in the night. Ageing is the inevitable price we pay for time. We just have to learn to embrace it with joy.

I shed a few tears for my late mum, who would have cherished this day. I know you are celebrating with me in heaven.

I would love to thank everyone for the great heart-warming birthday wishes that have constantly been coming since the crack of dawn.

My story would be 28 years incomplete without mention of my wife

My story would be 28 years incomplete without mention of my wife. A special thanks to you. You have been more than a wife and a great friend in my life.

A big shout-out to my lovely kids, I have nothing but love for you guys, Your existence complete me with purpose as I anxiously gaze into the future.

On Time

You would measure time the measureless and the immeasurable. You would adjust your conduct and even direct the course of your spirit according to hours and seasons.Of time you would make a stream upon whose bank you would sit and watch its flowing. - Kahlil Gibran

The timeless in you is aware of life's timelessness; and knows that yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream. - kahlil gibran
