Russia Rhea Patel

The first thing I am going to talk about is location. Russia hemispheres are the northern and eastern hemispheres. Russia is also in both the continent's Europe and Asia.

Some countries that border Russia are Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Mongolia North Korea and China in the south. Norway, Finland, Estonia, Lativa, Lithuania, and Poland border Russia in the west. The Artic Ocean borders Russia in the north, the Atlantic Ocean in the west, and the Pacific Ocean in the east.

This is Moscow the capital city of Russia, it's coordinates are (61°N, 105°E)

Physical Characteristics

The next thing I am going to talk about is physical characteristics.

The lines of latitude Russia is in is the Arctic circle and the Tropic of Caner.

Russia's temperate zone is the arctic zone.
A climagraph of Russia.

The third thing I am going to talk about is population. Russia has a population of 142 million people. Their world rank is 10. This means they are a populated city. They have 22.5 people per square mile and for their world rank they are 218. Which means they have plenty of room.

Russia is a negative growing country.
These are some pictures of the cities in Russia.

Russia's fertility rate is 1.70 births per woman. Their 5 largest populated countries are Moscow with 12.2 million people, Saint Petersburg with 4.88 million people, Novosibirk with 1.409 million people, Yekaterinburg with 1.344 million people, and Nizhny Novgold with 1.271 people.

Russia is an urban-rural country. Russia has 1.69 migrants coming into Russia everyday. This means people are entering Russia not leaving it.

Now I am going to talk a little bit about economics. Russia is a developing country. My first reason is that they make $18,000 per person. The average dollars a person should make is $30,000 so $18,000 is lower that $30,000. My second reason is that their life expectancy is 70.16 years. The average life expectancy is 78 years so 70.16 is less that 78 years. My last reason is that they have a literacy rate of 99.7. The average literacy rate is 99. Even though their literacy rate is larger than the average the other two pieces of evidence are below average. Based on this evidence, this is why I think Russia is a developing country.

My final and last thing I am going to talk about is culture. The main language spoken in my country is Russian. Some of the main religions in my country are Russian with 15-20%, Muslim with 10-15%, and Christian with 2%.

Some interesting things about my country is that their favorite sport is bandy also known as, hockey. Their favorite food is borsch/borscht which is beet and cabbage red soup. Their second favorite food is shashlik/shaslyik which is semi raw marinated fish.
