Nature Activity at FLMNH Spencer Barnes

The Fossil Exhibit

Nature and Ethics: I really enjoyed visiting the fossil exhibit. The shark jaws drew a lot of my attention, and the main exhibit instilled a feeling of stepping back in time. I learned about the colossal sloth and that was cool. I was impressed by the wide array of skeletons on display as well.

The Conservation Home

Nature and Ethics: This exhibit doesn't provide a nature experience, but provides a different look into how our daily lives effect the environment. It instilled knowledge into its visitors of the harm our actions have and provides an ethical background to our everyday actions and what we can to to uphold our responsibility to protect the environment.

The butterfly garden

Nature and the Human Spirit: I also enjoyed visiting the butterfly enclosure because it was huge and everywhere you walked you'd see a plethora of butterflies. It was a nice departure from my everyday life, and allowed me to relax and stroll through the garden.
