Syria type of government

Syria is considered a unitary republic with a semi-presidential style of government. Puts all its power in one central government

Syria is a flat desert plateau, dissected by mountains with a narrow coastal plain that fronts the Mediterranean Sea. In the west-central and north the Anti-Lebanon and Bishri mountains dominate the landscape.

Syria Natural resources: petroleum, phosphates, chrome and manganese ores, asphalt, iron ore, rock salt, marble, gypsum, hydropower

Syrian food is Arabic, similar to the Middle Eastern food found elsewhere, especially in Jordan and Lebanon.

In Syria men were something called a “kaftan.” Women wear long robes that cover everything except hands and feet. Men and women wear head wraps.

cotton, olives, wheat, barley, lentils, chickpeas, sugar beets, beef, mutton, eggs, poultry, and milk.

Interesting fact I learned throughout this project is

That Damascus is the oldest continuously lived-in city in the world.
