A trip to South Asia

When Craig kielburger was only 12 he took a trip to South Asia in 1995. He traveled with 25 year old Allen ramen. Craig went on the trip to see how kids in India eat, hope, and feel.

What did he learn

Craig kielburger learned that children have been separated from there family's for years because they have been tricked into sending there children to bondage. Children have been beaten when they commite small errors. He also learned most children suffer from lung disease because of continuous inhailing of woolen dust. There were horrible air conditions that caused children to work from morning to late evening. The children only got one square meal a day.

What changed

The most recent increase in the federal minimum wage rate occurred in July 2009, when it was raised to $7.25 per hour. Several large metropolitan areas—including Seattle and Los Angeles—have adopted schedules that will gradually increase the minimum wage to $15 per hour over the next few years
