You know the best way to relax? inhale some good kush. According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, the definition of marijuana is " the dried leaves and flowering tops of the pistillate hemp plant that yield THC and are smoked in cigarettes for their intoxicating effect." Many people that the used of marijuana she not be legalized.
Marijuana has many different names that it goes by, some of the most common are: marijuana, cannabis, weed, pot, Mary Jane, broccoli, and chronic. But, back in the olden days, they called it cannabis. According to deamuseum.org, cannabis was first found and used in 2727 B.C. with Chinese Emperor Shen Nung. Then by 1545, cannabis had spread across the western Hemisphere. The Spaniards then imported it to Chile for its use of fiber. Now, Marijuana is everywhere and used for everything. It is an illegal drug but, some people use it to help them.
Lately, marijuana is legal for those who use it for medical issues. People can literally go to the doctor and ask to be prescribed marijuana for issues like: pain, inflammation, muscle control problems, controlling seizures, etc. They call it "medical marijuana." Marijuana is still illegal in most states but they are working on it. Colorado is one of the states where it is legal. They do not need a prescription. They have what some call "weed shops", people go to these shops and but grams or more of marijuana. They have many well known shops in LA: KoreaTown Medical Marijuana Collective, King Kush Collective, Kelly's Collective.
Others think Cannabis is a horrible thing and should not be legalized. According to someone name Natalie Rivera," marijuana is a dangerous and addictive drug that has many consequences to using it." Not just her but other sources are saying; it damages your health, endanger safety, and lower quality of life. To me that is just a lame excuse. Yes, things like this can possibly happen but it will be okay. See, marijuana can be addicting but, its not like the other addicting drug like cocaine and heroin. If you stop smoking weed its baby steps but it is not that big of a deal.
In conclusion, I still don't see what the big deal is about others trying to not legalize marijuana. If they do, we would stop having so many crimes because having weed with you and selling weed would no longer be a crime. At the end of the day, it's not like they are going to stop using marijuana. they are going to keep doing it. So if you know they are going to keep doing it, why make a big deal out of them using it when you can just legalize it?
