HOW TO RESERVE YOUR SPACE:

1. After you click to reserve your space, you fill out the form requesting your resrvation and usually within a couple days, f not on location, we will email an electronic invoice which you will use to pay for your spot. (Be on the lookout for this invoice in your inbox or other mail folders)
2. A minimum deposit to hold your spot is $849 with the REMAINING BALANCE DUE AT LEAST 45 DAYS PRIOR to the beginning of the workshop.
3. You will need to pay directly through that invoice.
4. After you've paid the invoice you will receive a confirmation email from us that your space is reserve with more detailed workshop information like Workshop Questionnaire, Waiver/Release, General Supply List, © Fundamental Keys to Mastering Post-Processing Workflow, and a Non Disclosure Agreement
5. If you desire, I will also be schedule a time to talk with you over the phone to discuss any questions you may have and your goals for the workshop. We will also keep in contact leading up to the workshop to help arrange travel and lodging, as well.

WORKSHOP DETAILS

LOCATION & LOGISTICS:

• If flying into workshop, the closest recommended airport is Jacksonville Florida International Airport, JAX or Daytona Beach International Airport, DAB
• Home Base/Lodging will be in or near St. Augustine, FL.
• Locations range from many great Beach Locations, unique Boneyard Beaches, Coastal Wetlands, Marshes, Hidden Inlet Treasures, Lightening Storms and more.
• Much of the workshop will concentrate on dramatic Seascapes and Creative Wave photography.

IMPORTANT TRAVEL DETAILS:

• Workshop - Flights/Travel should be booked for arriving in Florida a day BEFORE the workshop and leaving the day AFTER it ends.
• We will be on location starting prior to sunrise on day 1, and finish directly after sunset on the last day. (5 nights of lodging).
• We will have the meet and greet the night before either "on location" (lodging) or at a restaurant.
• If you need to shorten your stay, please let Sabrina know as soon as possible.

GENERAL WORKSHOP INFORMATION:

• Home-base/Lodging in Northeast Florida, near St. Augustine area with on location varying from Northeast Florida through Central Florida.
• On location 4 days & 4 nights photographing during sunrise and sunset.
• A Nonlinear itinerary ranging from Northeast Florida Coast to Central Florida. We Chase the light! We go where the opportunity for dramatic light and atmosphere leads, best determined by my careful constant expert study (and some locational intuition) of the weather during the workshop.
• After breakfast and a mid-day break, post-processing training will be in a comfortable Vacation Rental, Water or Beach Side Hotel, Condo, or Conference Room in the early afternoon until we need to leave for our evening shoot.
• A MP4 Video recording will be supplied of all curriculum taught during the workshop.
• 6 Spots Available Per Workshop, occasionally with an assistant I will sometimes do 7. Workshop sizes vary.

LODGING & TRANSPORTATION:

• Clients will be expected to either rent a vehicle during the duration of the workshop or drive their own. Rental is not included in cost of workshop. We can recommend reliable companies, schedule pickup or at times carpooling opportunities are available with other clients.
• Preferred lodging recommendations will be provided by my wonderful wife Sabrina Metternich.
• You do not have to book lodging as she will be managing this for the group and will connect with you closer to the workshop dates.
• Lodging is not included in the price of the workshop.
• If someone wishes to have double occupancy rooms Sabrina will do her best to coordinate those needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Physical activity expected: easy hiking less than 3 miles with camera gear in a day.
• Physical requirements for this workshop are moderate to low. Almost all levels of fitness will be acceptable on this workshop.

GENERAL ITINERARY:

• We meet up the night before the workshop begins usually at a restaurant or other location (we will let you know as we get close to the starting date) to "break the ice" and get to know each other and discuss possible plans of locations depending on weather research, desires of each client for workshop, discussion of any additional supplies we will need to pick up before workshop begins at sunrise.
• Photographing will be sunrise and sunset with careful, critical, custom post-processing training (and other training and inspiration) in early afternoon to early evening. All levels of photographer will benefit!
• We shoot, break for breakfast, take a break, meet up for post-processing for several hours, maybe take another short break and then go out to shoot again in the afternoon/evening! Each day will be different.
• We will usually be able to eat at a restaurant for breakfast(s)/lunch(s) after shooting sunrise and maybe some dinners. Sometimes food can be ordered to our teaching area, and other meals may be eaten on the road as we carry a cooler and non-perishables on the road.

MY GOALS FOR YOU:

• Please note that over the years I have found a certain percentage of participants that desire a linear-type itinerary outlining where we will be each day, and at what time we will be doing what… I conscientiously choose to NOT to lead my workshops this way! Most photographers know that great light will not respond to us, we need to respond to it!
• One of my top goals is always to put you in the best locations at the very best times for the very best opportunities for the best imagery. The only way this can happen most often is by being flexible and intelligently reacting to the weather conditions. Due to seasonal and weather changes, locations will be decided on a day to day basis, possibly, occasionally subject to change at a given moment. In making decisions for the group, my methodology is to watch the weather closely, apply intuition, experience, guesswork, and also take into careful consideration the photographic needs/desires of all the individuals in the group. The workshops that plan out everything in advance are not at the best places at the best times!

INSTRUCTION INCLUDED:

• Hands On Instruction: from the moment we meet up we will be connecting regarding every aspect of landscape/seascape photography, from composition to technical specifics of post-processing. I will be available for one-on-one instruction (as much or as little as you specifically request) in the field for camera settings, composition suggestions, techniques, approaches, or anything else. All of your questions will be answered! Please let me know what your specific needs are! I am here to serve!
• World Class Post-Processing: as a leading educator in the world of post-processing for 16+ years (Lightroom, Camera Raw, Photoshop, and many other photo programs) I will be teaching participants lots of awesome stuff during our midday off location times! The curriculum will be based on each person in the group’s specific educational goals! My document "© Fundamental Keys To Mastering Post Processing Workflow" will be sent to everyone to carefully look over. It is a nearly exhaustive list of topics you will need to read over to help you know what you may need and/or want to learn the very most. The curriculum I build and teach is based on your choices. A Non Disclosure Agreement allows me to teach you nearly anything you would want to learn. Guaranteed the most cutting edge processing education in the industry whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced in your post-processing skillsets! You will be taking your photography to the next level fast!
• It is best (but not mandatory) to bring a laptop and you will need to have either Lightroom Classic AND 2022 Photoshop installed, or Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop. Please note that the more updated the versions, the better skills and training I can give you! Photoshop 2022 is highly recommended! Having only Adobe Lightroom Classic will NOT be appropriate for the full skills you will need and want to learn.
• Critical, Comprehensive, and Custom POST-PROCESSING TRAINING EVERY MID-DAY (unless you opt out). Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, advanced, of even top professional, top class training in ALL THINGS post-processing will be each mid day! We will also include compositional training, inspiring slide shows to help inspire and prepare us, Q&A, image review, and a lot more! All post-processing will be recorded and given to all attendees after the workshop.
