Cellular respiration

Chemical Forumal: the chemical formula is C6H12+6o2=6Co2+6H2O+ energy. Cellular respiration is a catabolic reaction. This is because it cellular respiration is involved in respiration. Cellular respiration takes place in the mitochondria as well as fermentation.

Glycolisis: glycolysis occurs in both with oxygen and without oxygen. Plants do glycolysis. It takes place in the cytoplasm and occurs in all living things. Formula; Glucose---Pyruvic AcidThe inputs for glycolysis are- Glucose+ 2NAD+2ATP+4ADP+2Pi and the outputs are- 2 pyruvate+2 NADH+ 2 ADP+ 4 ATP. After the glycolysis process fermentation takes place.

Krebs Cycle

Its the 2 step in cellular respiration. It takes place in the matrix of mitochondria. Also pyruvic acid is brocken down into carbon dioxide.Then 3 more NADH are made, 2FADH2 are made and 2 more ATP are released. The inputs are- CoA, NAD+, acetyl acid, 2 NAD+, ADP+P, FAD, NAD+. The outputs are- Co2, NADH,COA, 2 NADH, ATP, FADH, NADH, 4 c-molecules.

Electron Transport Chain

It occurs in the cristae of the mitochondria. NADH and FADH2 are used. high energy electrons that come from the Krebs ctcle and are used to convert ADP into ATP. Water is the product and oxygen is the reactant. At the end of the electron Transport Chain procces, it makes 34 ATP. Plant do the electron transport chain.
