William Wegman Caitlin O'Neill

William Wegman was born in Holyoke Massachusetts.
He went to the Massachusetts college of art and majored in painting
Wegman taught at the University of Wisconsin for four years.
He then moved to California and taught at California State University Long Beach.
Wegman and Man Ray
William's first dog was Man Ray and he quickly became the center of all of his photographs.
Fours years after Man Ray died Wegman got a new dog, Fay Ray. She now became the center of his photographs and he took a lot of Polaroids of her.
He enjoyed taking picture of her in weird poses and outfits. She had puppies in 1989 and Wegman's cast grew.



He was on Saturday Night Live and the skit he did was dogs playing baseball.

His paintings and photographs appear in the walker Art center in Minneapolis. He has his own area known as wegmans world there
He now lives in Maine and New York with his dogs and wife
